However, when stabilising factors such as ligaments, muscles or bone morphology are disrupted, a dislocation can occur, where the patella comes out of its groove, usually outwards.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2af9c00 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2af9c00\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Causes and Symptoms<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-96d2ccc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"96d2ccc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Chronic patellar instability can result from rotational deviations of the knee, knee valgus or anatomical abnormalities. Repeated dislocations weaken the ligaments, making the patella increasingly unstable.
